In these times, I like to consider myself a veteran of the internet. I was at the perfect age when I first logged onto AOL and surfed the net while it was still text based and loaded with animated gifs. I remember when people would write HTML code to have words chase your mouse around the page. Heck, I remember when frames were a thing. After writing this, I realize how much of a geek I was in those days. Do you have a mental image of me hunched over a Gateway 2000 keyboard, chatting it up in an AOL chatroom, and making internet girlfriends? Not much has changed. I’ve still got the glasses, but the computer is a MacBook and I’m chillin’ out in my living room, listening to Girl Talk. Yeah, I’m way cooler these days.
