So, a couple of months ago, I wrote about how I don’t want to be the type of old guy who let technology surpass him; that I always wanted to be able to operate every new bit of tech that comes out in the future. My only exception is if the future actually becomes the plot of Surrogates. It’s like bringing the weirdo fat dude behind a computer monitor, pretending to be a chick, to a whole new, freaky level.
Well, with the same thought of technology in mind, I started wondering about my music library. The other night, I was scrolling through my iTunes and deleting music I hadn’t listened to in years. Don’t go all crazy on me just yet, I was getting rid of the music I had absolutely no intention of ever listening to again. That’s when it hit me; will I grow up to be the type of adult/dad who only listens to the music of his youth? On top of that, are my kids going to think it’s crappy? If they do, they’re clearly not my kids and I’ll have to confront my future, yet to exist, whore of a wife.
